Begin by filling the machine with hot water on the largest setting. Add two cups of white vinegar and let the machine agitate for a few minutes. Pause the cycle and let the vinegar solution sit for an hour to help break down residue and odours.
•Resume and finish the cycle to rinse out the vinegar. For extra cleaning power, you can use a washing machine cleaner according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• If your model has an agitator, check for and remove any debris or buildup around it. Wipe it down with a cloth or brush.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the outside of the machine, including the control panel and the area around the lid.
• Remove and rinse the detergent drawer under warm water, scrubbing away any residue. Dry it completely before placing it back in the machine.
• Wipe the inside of the drum with a dry cloth after the cleaning cycle and leave the lid open to allow the interior to air dry, preventing mould and mildew.
