Removes Wet and Dry Debris Simultaneously
The Dyson WashG1™ is engineered to remove both wet and dry debris in a single cleaning pass. Two motorised counter-rotating microfibre rollers work together to lift dirt, hair, spills and everyday messes from hard floors without requiring vacuuming beforehand.¹ ³
Cleans With Fresh Water From Start to Finish
Twenty-six pulse-modulated hydration points evenly distribute clean water across both rollers throughout the cleaning process. This helps ensure that the machine continually washes using fresh water rather than recirculating dirty water across the floor.
Counter-Rotating Roller Technology
Instead of using vacuum suction, the WashG1™ uses two counter-rotating rollers to separate liquids from debris. Secondary brush bars remove hair and larger particles while extraction plates remove excess moisture from the rollers.⁴
Large Area Coverage
The machine can clean up to 290 square metres of hard flooring on a single tank fill, making it suitable for larger homes and open-plan living spaces.⁵
Multiple Cleaning Modes
Three hydration levels allow users to tailor cleaning performance to different mess types:
Self-Cleaning System
The WashG1™ includes an automated self-clean cycle that flushes the internal system while charging. Dyson states the cycle can complete in as little as 140 seconds, preparing the machine for the next cleaning session.
Hygienic Waste Separation
Dry debris is collected separately from dirty water, helping simplify disposal and reduce the build-up of sludge and residue commonly associated with traditional mopping systems.⁴
Important Information
The Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner doesn’t need to be cleaned manually after every clean. Instead, use the floor mop’s Self-clean function after each use. This is one of the many advantages of a wet floor cleaner, not only does it make effective cleaning faster, it’s also more convenient to clean and maintain. We also recommend cleaning you Dyson WashG1™ manually after every three uses.
When using floor cleaning solutions, do use gentle, low-foaming common household detergents and do not use bleach. Be sure to follow the solution’s specific direction for dilution - with a 1L clean water tank you shouldn't require any more than 1Tbsp of solution. We also recommend adding the solution after filling the clean water tank.
¹ No.1 Hard Floor Wet Cleaner in Australia
Based on Dyson referenced market sales data and comparison methodology against suction and single-roller machines. Refer to Dyson's published methodology for full details.
² Stain Removal Testing
Tested to IEC 62885-6 on mustard stains using representative products from leading competitors, based on Dyson's referenced testing and market data. Actual results may vary.
³ Wet and Dry Debris Pick-Up Claim
For use on hard floors only. WashG1™ is a non-suction device that removes dry debris and dust using its counter-rotating double roller system.
⁴ Technology Comparison Claim
Comparison relates to suction-based machines that use filters, a single roller and dry debris separation within the dirty water tank.
⁵ Coverage Claim
Based on Dyson internal calculations with no repeated cleaning over the same area and a cleaning speed of 0.5m/s. Actual area coverage may vary depending on cleaning habits and floor type.
⁶ Runtime Claim
Up to 35 minutes runtime. Actual runtime will vary depending on cleaning mode, floor conditions and usage patterns.
